The Careers and Enterprise Company Mentoring fund – this is what it means to our schools and their young people.  When we informed one of our schools that we would be working with some of their Year 10 students this was the response we received:

“Absolutely fantastic news for our school and our students!  Thank you for considering us in the first place.  I am sure the great work that Linda and the team are already doing will continue and this successful bid will help make a significant difference to the futures of our young people.”

‘’With work experience the more you put into it the more you get out of it.  Enthusiasm and motivation are far more important than previous experience.’’

‘’We thoroughly enjoyed having our work experience students with us, they were very hard working and eager to learn new skills. They were an asset to our company and a credit to their educators for the two weeks they were here. It gave us great satisfaction to help members of our local schools gain confidence and knowledge which will be priceless when eventually going into employment.’’

We, as an organisation, have supported local students for a number of years to undertake a work experience placement to help them to prepare for the world of work.  This year we have been joined by students from Millfield and Rossall schools who were excellent ambassadors of their schools and who have continued to work with us as volunteers.
On the recommendation of one of the students her friend has now also joined the team.

In my opinion work experience offers our young people an opportunity to use their current skills, learn new skills and support the development of their social skills.

“We contracted the EBPNW to organise a large event for young people in Preston. From the outset and understanding the spec of the job, to organising venue, arranging invites etc right through to final evaluation, Tracy project managed the whole process in a diligent and highly professional manner. Tracy took ownership of all planning arrangements and nothing was too much trouble. Her knowledge base, experience and attention to detail were of the highest quality, even to the extent of bringing the overall costs in at a lower than expected amount. I would highly recommend her and EBPNW services for the organisation of any events of any scale. We will certainly be using their services again”

“Enterprise4All have been working with EBPNW over the last few months and we have found them to be a very professional and approachable team.  Building on their extensive expertise, experience and knowledge of the work related learning sector, the senior leadership team have come together to form a new work experience and employability support services business that is going from strength to strength and I wish them well on their new venture”.

“Young people really benefit from employers working with them both inside/outside of the classroom, they have the opportunity to utilise their skills; whilst also understanding about employer expectations.  The events I have attended in school have been a real success and given myself, teachers and students/pupils an opportunity to come together.

Young people can see for themselves how their learning and skills can be applied in a ‘work related’ role, this increases their confidence and supports their aspirations.

I have worked with pupils and students who have welcomed me into their schools and found the co-ordination by EBP (NW) Ltd has always ensured employers have both a productive, and enjoyable experience.”

We had a visit from Linda Taylor from EBP Ltd, amazing lady with excellent professionalism and the ability to help. Her enthusiasm and desire to help the students as well as the employer is brilliant.

This is the first time we have gone along with the programme and Linda has made the experience a lot easier and stress free. Thanks Linda.

“We have been working in partnership with Education Business Partnership (NW) Ltd for the past 6 months supporting us in setting up and delivering a nationally funded contract, related to raising aspirations of young people. This is being delivered across schools in the Manchester and Lancashire areas, as well as specialist organisations who support disabled young learners.  EBPNW have always delivered a high quality service and we are pleased with how our partnership work is developing as both organisations start to grow. We have no hesitation in recommending Education Business Partnership (NW) Ltd and their wider team in the delivery of school based programmes and work related learning.”
