“We have worked with EBP for 6 years and we have accessed work experience in both weekly placements and on a long-term basis as part of the student timetable. EBP have taken the time to source employers that offer specific vocational areas and are suited to the needs of our cohort. As a school we have built up relationships with a number of employers so that more of our pupils can access quality placements and these professionals have attended careers events to support meeting the Gatsy Benchmarks in school. EBP gives us the reassurance that the placements have been safeguarded so that as a school our primary focus is making sure the pupils have the confidence and support to attend and thrive in work experience. High numbers of Year 10 pupils complete the week long work experience each year and because of EBP’s commitment to sourcing our placements the pupils are rewarded for developing their employability skills. We have had leavers who have gone on to traineeships and apprenticeships in their work experience vocational area and sometimes secured their employment with the work experience employer. I am able to call EBP at any time to request placements knowing that they will work on sourcing this professionally and as soon as possible.”

“EBPNW have provided an excellent and reliable service in providing invaluable work experience placements for our sixth form learners over the last few years – we are very grateful for the fantastic, personable assistance received from the beginning to the end of the process.”

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to you and all the team at EBPNW for the extremely professional and efficient service that you have provided to us throughout the work experience programme.  It has been a pleasure to work with you all and thank you in particular for turning around some of the last minute placements so quickly.  We’ve really appreciated the ‘can do’ attitude of staff at EBPNW and the speedy response to queries and issues.  A couple of the employers have also commented on your professionalism and the high quality of the information you have provided to support the placement process.

At St Augustine’s we hold a mock interview day to help to prepare pupils for leaving school. For most pupils, their first interview will be for a college place or for an apprenticeship or other training opportunity and for many of them this can be a daunting prospect. Mock interviews allow the pupils to overcome any nerves they might have and to understand how to make a good impression on the interviewer. We were delighted with the organisation of the day that EBP (NW) put together for us, providing our pupils with an excellent experience thanks to the high quality of employers that were present on the day. The feedback from the pupils was extremely positive and despite the “pre-match” nerves, they found the experience really valuable. Thanks to EBP (NW) for a great day.

Prior to going out on Work Experience, pupils at St Augustine’s take part in a day of Health and Safety training provided by EBP (NW). The day highlights key Health and Safety issues for the pupils in an engaging and fun way, while maintaining the important message of staying safe while out of school. The organisation of the day is excellent and the input by employers makes a significant contribution to the success of the event.’’
