We are seeking businesses from across all sectors who would be interested in hosting a student on an extended work experience placement for maybe 1 or 2 days a week across the term or academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a student to develop their work based skills in a sector they are likely to pursue on leaving school. For many of the students we support, the extended work placement will go hand in hand with a vocational programme of study that they are following. We have great successes through our extended work experience programmes with many businesses going on to employ students once they leave school as an apprentice.
There are no costs involved in supporting a school student on work experience and we are on hand to advise regarding the health, safety and welfare of learners when in industry. We are here every step of the way to support you and the student.
